The book is elaborately, even tediously, documented; but the source notes are in the back, so as not to distract from the text notes. It's a good book if you like looking at pretty pictures of famous and some not so famous rock stars, but skip reading it.. That alone made mu research much easier than I had anticipated. You don't just read a Barber book to feel like you are informed.
