About the Author Dennis and his wife, Nan, are a husband-wife writing team who is impacting church music with their fresh and incisive songs. Dennis, the composer of the two, is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a degree in church music and has served as a minister of music for 12 years. Nan earned her degree in communications from the University of Alabama. In addition to serving as a workshop leader and studio singer, she writes lyrics, drama, and curriculum materials.

This is very much a book about fellows; it is certainly not an introduction to classical music for the beginner, but appears to be written for those who are already familiar with the Classical repertoire and want to know more about the personal lives of those who wrote it. Mac spares no one in this memoir, blasting the Australians, the Americans, and the Vietnam War itself. Although he wrote the score for The Wizard of Oz and so many exquisite standards - Stormy Weather, Come Rain or Come Shine, The Man that Got Away, etc. I recommend it highly..
