The essays make other points as well, notably the close similarities between organised criminal groups and governments/ruling classes (as St Augustine said, "All governments are in origin bands of robbers"). I read a lot of musical biography and such, so I was pleasantly surprised to see just how much I learned from this book. He thereby does little to discourage readers from fallaciously inferring that if they oppose capitalism they must favor the particular system he is proposing (notice how even the book's title, "Parecon: Life After Capitalism," encourages this fallacy). I highly recommend!. His gift for soaring melody is unmatched. It thus leaves the final status of the plant murky, as if the author didn't have the same access to others as to Yoshida. It abounds with happy (or at least hopeful) endings, and absolutely does not rehash the Rudy Giuliani thing.. "I think you can be bor
