This is a solid first novel from an author with impeccable engineering credentials. The highlight for me was definitely the characters. Such a great book! I read it on my lunch break at work and was late getting back a few times because I just couldn't put it down! So glad I saw this book on Face book or I would never have known about it. The volume is greatly improved by an introduction that explains how his career developed and his relationship with other photographers and magazine editors. Safe at Home tells the story of 11-year-old Trevor Mitchell. This is how our Dixieland and Trad Jazz music is usually given to us, if there is music at all!
The book was less than 10 bucks, and if you follow it for fake book style piano playing, and dilligently do the exercises, you will be amazed how many songs you can learn in a short amout of time. Sachiko encounters some of the playgr
