As far as I can tell, entirely factual and accurate. Enough technical information to make it worthwhile but enough hands-on information to make it usable. For one, he discusses just being a good boss. Mac spares no one in this memoir, blasting the Australians, the Americans, and the Vietnam War itself. It misses the mark.
The content is great and informative, but it is couched in such an overload of scientific jargon and an assumption of an above average understanding of how the human body works that it was incredibly difficult to get through in order to glean out the interesting information. A few stories seem anecdotal but by and large, it describes Colombia very well.
